This is no where near fast enough for RAM, for DDR3 you need at least 50Gbps for the slowest PC3-6400, while for much more common PC3-12800 your looking at 100G

You can use it for an external ram drive though.

  Yes but you could just use SSDs since the extra speed RAM would afford is lost anyways
