Unfortunately I doubt that would work very well, even thunderbolt 2.0 is no where near the bandwidth of internal RAM and more importantly for many applications,

Unfortunately I doubt that would work very well, even thunderbolt 2.0 is no where near the bandwidth of internal RAM and more importantly for many applications, the latency would be terrible.
