I consider the ad/program very fishy (especially the 15.000/12.000 mile part), but I don't get your point: Are you really saying that you'd replace the battery pack on that car? In three years, starting with a brand new one? Or are you talking about keeping that car afterwards, ignoring the buyback option (and why would you do that)?
