I understand that a mental illness stigma can interfere with a middle class career. And that is bad. But does someone with no job, assets, or home face a stigma that discourages him from getting care? I suppose the foolish pride we all have is a factor-- not wanting to admit you are broken. But that isn't a social stigma , it is a personal stigma. But social, um, "anti-stigma" could perhaps help?
