One of the biggest problems with rape and abuse is the culture of silence. The feelings of shame and self-hate that are often integrally linked with being a victim in these cases often precludes them from -ever- coming to light. I'm not commenting specifically about whatever happened with Arrington and his ex. However, I think it's important that victims of all walks of life feel safe to "come out" before it's too late to do anything about it.
