I find that the braces and termination policy forcibly avoid stuff like: for p = initial; p.next != nil; p = p.next; doSomething(p); This is a whole class of pain I've had to debug before. Better to be explicit. I'm not really a fan of python indentation as I've had to clean up a couple of messes before.
