I wouldn't be surprised if 94% of Americans didn't realize that Lenovo was a Chinese brand. Huawei and Haier sound Chinese; Lenovo doesn't. Our letter "v" isn't even a sound in Mandarin.
- mpyne 14y agoI actually thought Haier was a German-sounding brand, I didn't know it was Chinese.
- JumpCrisscross 14y agoHaier is a German name. It was picked, in part, to make the firm sound less Chinese.
