Maybe Amazon can turn Goodreads into an actual recommendation site and use the full capabilities of its databases and search facilities. To this day, since I first joined near its founding, I am astonished that there is still no way to search for the highest rated and voted books within a genre. Instead, one is left to rely on heavily skewed "Lists" or "popular" books or their (annual) Award system. In short, at this time, Goodreads for books is far less useful than say, IMDB is for movies. I actually find Goodreads less useful than Amazon itself for recommendations!
