I grew up partly in São Paulo, Brazil (majority of time), and partly in Eilat, Israel (2 and a half years). I studied for 4 years in the USA (for my PhD in Applied Math), and my experience comes from this. The funny thing for me is that I'm married to a Japanese-Brazilian girl, although I'm not interested in Japanese culture at all.
