The irony in your comment is that YouTube exists because of advertising.

- adam-a 14y agoYouTube is supported by advertising, but it doesn't exist _because_ of it. It's possible to imagine a world where users did not tolerate advertising and YouTube found their funding from user subscriptions, product referrals, government funding, or some other means.
