For whatever it's worth, I got more out of my graduate level logic sequence about logic and the deep grounding computability theory than I did from any of my CS classes as an undergraduate (philosophy was one of my majors – CS was a minor) Personally, I think this kid will be fine majoring in Philosophy because, well, he has other skills to carry him through =) (I still wouldn't go back and change my education one bit)
