- Herring 18y agoSome graphs here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_public_debt http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_public_debt Plotting as a percentage of GDP can also be misleading, eg US military spending is 4% of GDP but 30% of tax revenue according to wikipedia. They also discuss debt expenditures getting too high on that page.
- colins_pride 18y agoThose military spending statistics suggest that tax revenue is 12% of GDP, which my libertarian heart only wishes were the case
