If RSS is too old to deserve existence, I wonder what we can say about http,smtp,ssh ; tcp/udp/ip ; ethernet/wifi ? :)
- mosselman 14y agoWhat nonsense. Either way. I said neither of those things. It is not age that is the problem, it is RSS itself. RSS is just not a good solution in the long run because, amongst other things, we a. get better and better at parsing language, which makes a separate protocol unnecessary and b. we, right now, are more into cloud based news delivery, think links on twitter, etc. More semantic alternatives to HTML (like HTML5, but good) will also make things like RSS useless.
