Sadly he is making them for desktops where people expect triple A games and play only those.
Cas, if you are listening... MOBILE!!!!!!
- JDDunn9 14y agoMost mobile games don't make money either. He responded to that idea. http://www.puppygames.net/blog/?p=1369#comment-54311 http://www.puppygames.net/blog/?p=1369#comment-54311
- dubcanada 14y agoI know they mostly don't make money, but his games are not the kind of games people play on desktop/console. Which tend to be sit down and play for a couple hours over voice with a bunch of friends. Cas's games are more the grab an iPad and play for 20 minutes while waiting on the bus. He would most likely have a better chance at breaking even in such an environment.
- evo_9 14y agoCas didn't write Ultratron and mentions in the article he mainly writes flash and iOS games.
- dubcanada 14y agoI thought Cas was a java programmer? Am I wrong?
- princec 14y agoAye that's me.
- SixteenBlue 14y agoCas is not the author of the article. Cas is a dev on Ultratron.
- Zarkonnen 14y agoClarification: the article author isn't Cas. So the author writes iOS games, whereas Cas writes Java games. (Though they are Java games which cleverly bundle their own JRE, avoiding a lot of the horror that can come with it.)
