I was going to tell a story of washing old circuit boards in the breakroom sink at a prior job, but I guess I'll pass. :-) That said, the air keyboard does have a spill protection layer that provides some measure of protection. My girlfriend has spilled far more liquid on her Air and it's survived well. It's unfortunate that you got a terribly unlucky circuit-seeking drop of liquid.
