- fatjokes 14y agoIf she sues the shit out of them (successfully or otherwise), it would be one of the worst things for women in tech. Companies would become very wary of hiring women, as they would risk a lawsuit / backlash if they ever fired her for anything, such as in this case, where clearly a lot of people think she was in the wrong. She was fired fairly. She used her position and her platform to identify two individuals with the goal of publicly shaming them. If the people involved were a little younger, it'd be a clear-cut case of cyber-bullying.
- rmrfrmrf 14y agoNo, this situation is the worst thing for women in tech. I can't begin to imagine the waves of misogyny that're about to run rampant through the tech community knowing that any woman who speaks out will be fired.
