Very much so. Sometimes you have little choice but to take the drugs. It was once explained to me that depression is somewhat like a deep pit, with slippery sides that get steeper and steeper....once you are in a certain depth, you need a rope to get out. Over the last year or two, I have begun to really understand how true that can be, learning to control how deep my moods get, and use the people, world, and experiences around me to keep myself from going beyond that self-salvageable depth.
