Life is not actually a competition, despite what the marketplace and Western culture want you to believe. Every single one of us dies - we all lose in the end. Don't pile the stakes so high. The more pressure there is, the more stressed you will be, and the less likely you are to succeed. Just do your best and hopefully things will work out.
