I'll admit, I fell for the title. I read it because I was intrigued to find out how an independent author would have gotten $0 for having sold > 1 book. When I got to the "$12,000" I immediately felt tricked. Sure, it is in one sense pocket-change for a "bestseller", but it's not "nothing".
