In fact in pretty much every attack (yes attack, the threads feel very orchestrated) on iOS, one of the principle benefits touted is that Android is open. Even Rubin tried to declare it 'open' with his now infamous tweet (https://twitter.com/Arubin/status/27808662429 https://twitter.com/Arubin/status/27808662429). Let's keep those goalposts static.
