Startup and teardown are expensive, but once you're past that, you're in the butter-zone.
- cperciva 18y agoStartup and teardown are cheap. The expensive part is losing a packet in the middle of a high-throughput conversation.

- cperciva 18y agoI wasn't being metaphorical -- I was just commenting about TCP.
- manvsmachine 18y agoIt actually made sense when I read it. Hitting a "rough spot" in a relationship can be a draining experience and end up negatively affecting other parts of your life if you're not careful.
