I seem to be in an invite queue so I can't check for myself -- how do signatures work? I see from the FAQ that "We're fully compliant with the ESIGN Act, UETA, and 1999/93/EC, which govern the use of electronic signatures in the U.S. and E.U.", but how do you achieve this?
- swampthing 14y agoThere's a lot of little details, but in general... We send you a unique URL that takes you to the page where you sign documents (and record your IP address). From there, you create a unique electronic signature, which you apply to all the documents (much easier than it might sound). We keep track of your IP address and store a checksum of the signed PDF. If you're looking at implementing this yourself, Docusign has a great whitepaper here: http://www.docusign.com/images/resources/whitepapers/intl-e-signature-law.pdf http://www.docusign.com/images/resources/whitepapers/intl-e-...
