:set spell is pretty neat. Will use not when coding, but when writing blog posts.
- nathan_long 14y agoIf you put that in, for example, `~/.vim/ftplugin/markdown.vim`, it will be used on all markdown files. (`../ftdetect/markdown.vim` controls how Vim determines that a file is markdown.)
- jamesmiller5 14y agoI turn that on when editing Git commits. autocmd FileType gitcommit setlocal spell
