This is great news. Haxe is an excellent language that extremely cross-platform with a fast compiler. NME gives a Flash like runtime on most of these platforms. In fact, it took less than 48 hours to port NME for the BlackBerry PlayBook. Definitely a project worthy of continued financial support.
- martinced 14y agoAs someone who was working in the mobile app field before the iPhone came out, how "extremely cross-platform" is Haxe? I mean... Back then J2ME (now JME and pretty much dead) was supposed to be cross-platform and it was a living hell. On the Blackberries is was even a special kind of hell, even less compatible. (and on Qualcomm we had to port to C++/BREW).
