It's a simple "fix", but this is actually the (silly) default behaviour for Mac apps. After closing the window you can bring it back from the Window menu item >

It's a simple "fix", but this is actually the (silly) default behaviour for Mac apps. After closing the window you can bring it back from the Window menu item > Main Window.
