Unless I'm wrong, the big ASUS splashed across the back of my Nexus 7 seems to say that someone other than Google made the device.

- psbp 14y agoYou mean the small ASUS under the big NEXUS?
- ocean12 14y agoNo, I don't.
- psbp 14y agoTo refresh your memory: http://cdn.arstechnica.net//wp-content/uploads/2012/07/nexus-7-back.jpg http://cdn.arstechnica.net//wp-content/uploads/2012/07/nexus...
- ocean12 14y agoExactly my point.
- psbp 14y agoBy invalidating your point?
- ocean12 14y agoTake another look. Just because Nexus is bigger doesn't mean Asus isn't.
- psbp 14y agoThe Nexus branding is much more visible than the Asus one. It's over 2x as large and centered directly in your line of sight as you're holding the tablet. You can't seriously think that people would look at the branding and think that it places more importance on the manufacturer than it does the nexus brand name.
- Jabbles 14y agoSo what Google hardware was he referring to when he said it had been a complete failure? Their in-house servers? I suppose they haven't sold any of them...
- bergie 14y agoIt is unlikely to Google will build factories to make the Glass, either. It might be a Google-branded product (like ChromeBook Pixel), or something they'll license to other manufacturers (like Android), or a hybrid of these (Nexus). Time will tell.
