  You clearly have an axe to grind against the US here. Terrorism conventionally refers to asymmetric warfare directed strategically against soft targets, often in peacetime. Good examples include the attacks of RAF and IRA in the 70s, Timothy McVey, the Unabomber and the WTC attack in the 90s. Syria is a war zone. It is in civil war. War has always terrorized civilians.
