Assumptions. The devil is in the details. Throw too much math with too many assumptions at anyone but a panel of PhD's and you will get all kinds of misinterpretation, misunderstanding, and just plain wrongheadedness.
- mikeash 14y agoCertainly. My point is that, even if you don't want to discuss it, or use it, it all comes down to statistics and probability in the end. Get the most extreme proof you can imagine for somebody's guilt and that extreme certainty still comes down to probability in the end.
