1) Silence the inner voice. 2) Don't fallback with your eyes, just re-read the entire sentence. I can combine two lines I've read into a sentence while reading the next two lines. It helps when I'm in an exam, or when looking for something in a Website. I heard of people who scan pages diagonally, which makes my envious :)
