Legality varies from country to country. Morality varies from person to person. Some people don't believe there is such a thing as "intellectual property". Some don't believe in private property. Some believe property is theft. Others don't believe that there's anything wrong with sharing, and/or that when you distribute a copy, it's not taking anything away from anyone and therefore to call it "theft" is misleading at best.
