There are conversion tools (e.g. http://www.grindeq.com/index.php?p=latex2word http://www.grindeq.com/index.php?p=latex2word) but (fortunately) I haven't had to use any of them so I can't comment on how well they do. For my line of work, if someone insisted on a Word doc, that'd be a strong indicator that I didn't want to be there.
