Definitely; I used bzr for years before using git and always thought, "how much faster can git really be?" Startlingly faster. preemptive disclaimer: I haven't used bzr for years and understand that it's faster now than it was. I liked bzr. blah blah I really don't want to start a flame war/pissing contest. But people should try git out before dismissing its speed as a worthwhile advantage.
