LOL. Now this is somehow technologies' fault. I can give you a simple solution: Get a girlfriend who likes you more than looking at stupid horoscopes on her iPhone.
>People spent time with each other.
They still do. Just because you're in a relationship where that isn't the case, doesn't mean technological advancements are to blame for it. I still have amazing engrossing conversations with people who are as embedded in technology as I am.
- lutusp 14y ago> Get a girlfriend who likes you more than looking at stupid horoscopes on her iPhone. Yes, and see how long that phase lasts. :)
- hackmiester 14y agoUh, it sounds like you have pretty poor luck... I feel like I am in the minority because I don't think I know anyone who spends time buried in his/her phone like this. Hell, if I could get my friends to respond to my messages within a couple of days of me sending them, that would be a start!
- lutusp 14y ago> Uh, it sounds like you have pretty poor luck... Not at all. While still young, I learned to have realistic expectations about relationships. This saved me a lot of pain and heartache. So I've been lucky.
- hackmiester 14y agoSo what you're saying is that I need to go ahead and learn to have "realistic" expectations, so that I might settle for partners who do things I hate?
- thenonsequitur 14y agoIt actually sounds like you got disillusioned and probably heartbroken and are now scared of intimacy but don't realize it because you've activated a defense mechanism and are rationalizing your fear as "having realistic expectations".
