- wittjeff 14y agoIt's interesting that none of those references refer to the Lovey Howell character in the 60s sitcom Gilligan's Island, which came first to mind for me when reading "luvvie alert". I suppose the character's name+personality is more of a blatant archetype than I (now 43) had realized as a child.
