I haven't followed this thing very closely but has anyone suggested testing this again and trying to reproduce the problem? If someone said my code was faulty, the first thing I do is repro. Why doesn't another newspaper just try the same experiment? Maybe the journalist was bias, maybe he got a lemon, maybe he hit on some weird bug, maybe it's true and the car doesn't work well in cold weather. Arguing over who said what is crap. Just test it and get more data.
