  "It"? What is this "it"? If you think of your betrothed as an "it" I would suggest you're not ready to marry anyone. (I know, this meme is out there, but you've given me an opportunity to protest it, so I am.)

    I assume from the quoted song lyrics, "it" is "her finger." How is that not appropriate?
