Have you checked out Github For Windows? I like how it hides some of the complexeties of Git, and gives you a Git Shell with Git in the current path.

- dougk16 14y agoHa, I just looked and it came out immediately after the last time I set up git/github on a windows machine the old-fashioned way. So it looks like my comment is probably invalid now. The next time I use git for a project I'll be sure to check it out. Thanks.
