I've been using digital ocean for a minecraft server and vpn. Network reliability has been a problem. Some days I get frequent disconnects, and other days it is fine. I will continue using linode for my servers that matter, and digital ocean for toys and experiments, just because it's so cheap.

During my resrach for performance / $ I recently discovered a host specialise in Minecraft hosting that offers one of the best performance for its price. Check Out Simplenode. ( I am not related to them in anyways )
