I have to wonder what you'd see
If you used style as ID.
Styles change from time to time
But style stays from line to line.
Names can change and faces too
But writing tells you who is who.[0]
Many say they are a crowd
But fewer do once lost their shroud.
Traps and snares one will find
Many more if kept their wits about their mind
Still plenty that you see
Hide their face behind IP.
Just a thought.

- mintplant 14y agoCould you... elaborate more on this, perhaps?
- unimpressive 14y agoSure. While I don't want to start a witch hunt, I often wonder while reading discussions who it is behind the handle. To the point where I can't help but think that a little careful observation might uncover an army of sockpuppets. With the help of the HN api, you could probably fingerprint a lot of users.
