Beige politics is surely intellectually frustrating, but what if it is quite optimal from the utilitarian point of view?
Maybe we should not measure politics by how interesting it is?
- humanrebar 14y agoSometimes the middle-of-the-road option is worse than either the left or right options. Also, don't underestimate how important it can be to have definitive winners in debates. Compromises in heated debates can lead to prolonged foot-dragging and resentment that can be worse than both the disease and the cure.
