I spent ~7 hours a day when I was learning C++. I basically had to do this in order to be able to take my course the next semester in college. I went from knowing absolutely nothing about programming, to having a very firm grasp on the subject, and actually being one of the best in my class. I would have learned a lot with 4 hours a day, but I think the extra 90 hours I put in that month really helped me out.
