How does Sentry compare to Bitbucket or Github's bug tracking experiences?
- zeeg 14y agoIt's not ticket tracking like those, instead we automatically collect errors within your application and aggregate them together.
- hcarvalhoalves 14y agoIt's not a bug tracker, as in tickets. It logs exceptions and debug messages from your application.
- akurilin 14y agoI see, thanks for explaining. Sounds somewhat analogous to what we currently get from Crashlytics, it's definitely a very useful service.
- zeeg 14y agoIt's very similar to Crashlytics with the primary difference being Sentry's very strong focus on web applications (initially) and our slowly expanding support for desktop and mobile applications
- Cogito 14y agoThe term bug tracker initially threw me as well. For me at least, this term is safely ensconced as equivalent to 'ticket management' in the domain of software development. I'm not sure what the best term for this other kind of "bug tracking", but almost certainly it should be something else. Maybe something like "live bug analytics"?
