I'm also new and until now I didn't actually encounter the angry, hateful sexism on HN that is rampant on Reddit & Co.
However with comments like "There is a very thin line between being a feminist and being an asshole." I guess I just didn't look hard enough.
- mwetzler 14y agoReddit is definitely worse. But any HN discussion on gender will leave you feeling a bit depressed.
