yes, we're sadly not using ZFS but that's in all likelihood due to licensing restrictions
What lead to that conclusion? You are aware that their are several commercial products available or that have been available that were based on ZFS, right? The CDDL license includes a patent grant.
- wmf 14y agoIIRC Apple dropped ZFS around the time that NetApp was suing over it. Sun couldn't grant patents they don't own and indemnification probably wasn't financially feasible.
