I doubt they're sending the entire stream. 1.8Gp isn't useful to look at "zoomed all of the way out". The video is [probably] cropped onboard the drone down to whatever resolution is usable, and then that is streamed.

It's not absurd though for the military to have the capacity to bounce 600 gigabits/s around the globe. There are commercial sattelites with capacities beyond 110 gigabits/s
