Median household income in the US is $52,762. $75,000 is roughly the 70th percentile. $75,000 is A LOT of money. It amazes me how skewed peoples views of income are here at HN. Most of us live in a fantasy land of $100+k jobs, stock options, acquisitions, etc. We are UNBELIEVABLY lucky to be in the position we are in. But the vast majority of the country is in a completely different climate.
