Usually lame articles are gone within a day. You can tell when all the comments object and eventually people flag and editors go "okay, we'll remove it."

Usually lame articles are gone within a day. You can tell when all the comments object and eventually people flag and editors go "okay, we'll remove it."
- DarkShikari 18y agoMost articles are gone within a day as they fall off the front page.
- redrobot5050 18y agoYeah, that is correct, but lame articles usually only make it to the "new" page, and never the "real frontpage". I've submitted to HN 2 or 3 times now, and my articles have been killed for lameness. (In my defense I thought they were good articles. But the system appears to work from my experience.)
