The real amazement and shock in this story isn't the fact that someone outsourced their daily development job to China the real story is The Register has blatantly ripped off a Verizon Business case study by Andrew Valentine only linked in the middle of the article: http://securityblog.verizonbusiness.com/2013/01/14/case-study-pro-active-log-review-might-be-a-good-idea/ http://securityblog.verizonbusiness.com/2013/01/14/case-stud...
- eridius 14y agoKnowing The Register, that's not shocking or surprising at all.
- mav3r1ck 14y agoI think The Register might have had a valid scoop here because it's not like everyone reads Verizon case studies to get their news and it's similar to how the latest medical studies make the news rounds. However, this is an absolutely horrible piece of journalism. What company is it? For all I know, this story could have been completely made up and it certainly lacked any sort of journalistic investigation other than to rip off the report.
