- jacques_chester 14y agoIt seems like you have what we call "optional preferential" in Australia. In practice such systems devolve to FPTP anyway. Mind you, I don't think any electoral system can paper over such an intransigent cultural division in a country. It'd be like trying to build an electoral system for a combined Israel / Iran government.
