What did they do?
- rdl 14y agoMIT undergrads and at least one sysadmin were allegedly involved in the software releasing group DoD (who did some stuff related to DeCSS, as well as commercial scene piracy). Course 14 (economics) machines got raided during Operation Buccaneer. http://tech.mit.edu/V121/N68/68piracy.68n.html http://tech.mit.edu/V121/N68/68piracy.68n.html It wasn't handled particularly badly, but the 1994 La Macchia case was worse (which I followed more closely)
